American Ignorance to me is the continual ability of certain citizens of America taking a situation and twisting its circumstances to meet their agendas. This ignorance is not particular to any race, religion, nationality, creed, nor sexual preference.....anyone is susceptible to jumping onto the bandwagon, for lack of a better way of putting it. One of the many unfortunate things about this American ignorance is that with social media and electronic media being as powerful and "AT HAND" as it is, way too many people are sucked in too quickly and rage along with carelessness are fueled and people start getting hurt, both physically and emotionally, minds get set without proper evidence of proof, character assassinations begin blindly, and "OUR" justice system from the Constitution of these United States is automatically blemished for "ALL PARTIES INVOLVED"
Lets break this down a little bit. Officer gets a call about a crime being committed, arrives and see man running from address given on radio fitting description of suspect. Officer gets out of car and runs behind suspect and yells "Stop, Police"! Jumps on suspect and suspect fights back resisting, but, officer pins suspect face down and hands bend him cuffing him. While cuffing him the suspect is resisting and struggles which causes officer to break suspects arm. While cuffed, officer reaches down and grabs suspect by the broken arm and lifts him up breaking it further. Suspect has not said anything other than "Hey pig, that's hurting my arm asshole"! Now this is a simpler case but is the officer wrong? Did he do anything he should not have, or that was not necessary to prevent a thief from harming an innocent bystander? In this case it could be misconstrued and blown way out of proportion or as the case was proven by camera, left as a good arrest. Point being, If American Ignorance had taken place here and no witness or camera available, the wrong person could have started a situation equivalent to Baltimore. All they had to do was accuse the cop of brutality, and say that he was in a bad mood when he came to work that day....."THE HEADLINES BEGIN AND TWITTER FEEDS ARE TRENDING WITH #ALLLIVESMATTER"
Please feel free to comment and I am asking everyone to pass this along to all your friends so they can assist us in ending #AMERICANIGNORANCE

Please! #AnswerMeThis
Answer me these; Have you ever felt like whatever you were doing in life was a useless battle which you really didn't feel like fighting? Have you ever woke up and wondered why you didn't die? Have you got into your car and couldn't deal with facing your family who wait for you at home? Did you ever wake up from a dream, only to realize that what you woke up to was the nightmare you were dreaming about? Did you ever look at your child as they sat across from you at the table and felt that you were such a disappointment to them that you couldn't look them in the eye to tell them you loved them?
Well, after be homeless a few times and talking with the homeless around me, I have found that these were the thoughts that preceded the spiraling downfall leading to their homelessness. Hidden in these "questions" lay a path of disturbing consequences. Now these were only a few statements which depicted the thoughts and sometimes fears of people who were at sometime productive individuals in society. Some you may even consider upstanding beyond reproach! There were even heroes!
Now I am no psychologist or Behavior study major, so I cannot give you clinical answers. But, if you look into these questions, you can begin to see how or why this started. For instance, waking up feeling like you were in a battle with life, you are more than likely in or headed to a state of depression. Depression starts and snowballs to withdrawal from others, then inner shame, seclusion, and eventually one runs and hides. They subconsciously choose to be homeless. It allows them to feel like they are administering a punishment that they so deserve, thus causing a viscous circle of personal disparagement.
Take a veteran with PTSD, who has a family that he loves and they love him. He, always being the provider, and guardian of his family, is now incapable of providing these securities a father provides. He is afraid to go to sleep for fear of who he may harm during a nightmare he know could become reality, all the while he has no control, whether he is awake or asleep. He has tried the therapy, and the drugs! His reality is that he is no longer the man, the father, that they knew and although they love him, inside they fear what he could do without even knowing it! So, his choice for everyones best interest is for him to leave and live alone in a world where at least if he does do something to someone, it won't be someone he loves. Not only is this veteran a danger to himself or others, but his condition will only get worse without structure and attention.
From this I think you get the picture of where I am going with this. Homelessness is a "condition" which is a result of either other conditions, or a driving force of overwhelming situations which cause an individual to feel like there are no options and there mental condition at the time leaves them with the thought of self deprivation and self punishment which leaves homelessness the consequence of the situation. Maybe after reading the first paragraph, you will understand at least how in ones mind the beginnings of how some feel before they take a step to run into homelessness. If you get it, then please share with someone else so they may learn. If you don't, please leave your questions in the comment section and I will try to answer it or get the answer! Thank you for reading my blog, May God Bless!

My Heroes
For the sake of
making this short and to the point, I am going to assume anyone
reading this will/can look up the definition of #HERO. I don't need
a definition to make me realize that there are so many hero's out
there in the world that we could never get the “Thank You” notes
sent out before there would be that many again, or more!
My heroes are not
only the man who caught a falling baby at a house fire, or the guy
who pushed someone out of the way and got ran over. My heart goes out
to them. No, My heroes are kind of the #unsung heroes. Here are a few
to make my point.
The woman/man who
stays late 6 out of 7 days, working with no overtime or bonus pay,
making sure that a little girl or boy is taken out of a home where
she or he is being abused, and not stopping until it is done,
regardless or the #Red-tape or headaches.
The guy/gal who
works a job 40 to 50 hours a week, raises kids alone, but still makes
sure that not only he/she volunteers to take coffee, soup, and
blankets or coats out to homeless people every evening, while making
sure his kids help and learn that #helpingothers is more important
than chatting on facebook or texting about the cute kid in class this
week!
The single #nurse
that works 60 hours a week in the trauma unit, but hasn't had a date
in over a year because she volunteers at a local #veterans outreach
to help #veterans cope with #PTSD even though she too suffers from
the same condition herself after years of seeing beat up and bloody
victims of terrible crimes in her city.
The 65 year old
teacher whose husband passed away last year and she decided to start
a program for under-privileged children which she spends 60 hours a
week tutoring as a #Mentor with no pay in her own home!
The guy who lost
his wife in Afghanistan, who takes his kids around and visits with
wounded and paraplegic soldiers, assisting them with getting proper
treatment and care along with assisting them do whatever it takes to
get their disability paperwork and benefits taken care of!
Yes, there are
many #HEROES out there, but most of us walk around them not even
knowing who they are or what they do! Just be glad these Heroes
aren't waiting for recognition because if they were, our world would
be such a miserable and pathetic place to live in.
#Thankyou
#MyHeroes for #MakingTheWorldABetterPlaceToLiveIn !
